Changes in management at 18th Wing in S. Korea

KADENA AIR BASE – The 18th Wing is about to undergo a change of manage-ment.

The Air Force announced Thursday that Brig. Gen. Jan-Marc Jouas, commander of the 18th Wing, will become the new vice commander of the Air Intelligence Agency, Air Combat Command at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

Jouas will be replaced by Brig. Gen. Harold W. “Punch” Moulton II, the current di-rector of Standing Joint Force Headquarters-North, U.S. Northern Command, at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.

No date has been set for a change of command, but it likely will take place in De-cember or January, according to the 18th Wing Public Affairs Office.

At his current position, Moulton “leads operations personnel, operational planners, intelligence analysts, mobility and support professionals and information command and control specialists who provide USNORTHCOM with a deployable joint command ad control element and focused transformational planning for homeland defense,” according to a biography furnished by 18th Wing Public Affairs.

An Air Force Academy graduate commissioned in 1978, he was an instructor pilot and pilot of a variety of aircraft. He is a command pilot with more than 3,900 flying hours.

Moulton also has held staff assignments on the Air Staff and Joint Staff and was deputy assistant chief of staff for operations, U.S. Forces Korea.
