Pretty serious about town patol
Kunsan MP discharged for posting guide to prostitution, MP patrols
By Ashley Rowland, Stars and Stripes Pacific edition, Sunday, July 8, 2007 A Kunsan Air Base military policeman has been given a bad-conduct discharge for publishing an online guide to using prostitutes in the Philippines and a schedule of security patrols outside the air base. Tech. Sgt. Christopher Bowman, 8th Security Forces Squadron, also received a six-month jail sentence and a reduction in rank to E-1 during the special court-martial. He pleaded guilty to all charges against him, which included leaving South Korea without permission and being absent without leave. Anyone could log on and look at it. That was the problem, prosecutor Capt. Derek Rowe said Thursday of Bowman's online postings. They're pretty serious offenses, and they were taken seriously and the punishment reflects that. Rowe said the case, which concluded last month, was unusual because Bowman had been in the military for 17 years. According to court records, Bowman spent three days in the Philippines in May 2006 without submitting a required force protection plan for travel to the country. He also took 12 days of unauthorized leave, Rowe said. Bowman did not testify during the court-martial, but he did give an unsworn statement. Rowe said Bowman posted a detailed guide to hiring prostitutes in the Philippines on a Yahoo chat group. The guide contained instructions for obtaining sex through bar fines, or fees paid to bars for the right to take a woman outside. Bowman, who was part of the security force that patrolled the area outside Kunsan, also posted the force patrol schedule and techniques online between January 2006 and January 2007. The security force conducted sweeps outside the base after curfew hours to make sure servicemembers were not violating curfew. Rowe said he didn't know how many people used the directions in the guides, but people viewed it and posted comments in a chat group. Bowman was court-martialed after his supervisor contacted investigators early this year. Rowe said the information Bowman posted was taken off the Internet. I guess we all make mistakes. But some folks just make them too late in life for anyone to call them anything but STUPID! Now this poor fellow will probably go to the Philippines and get into real estate. I understand retirees are lining up to buy overpriced apartments in Angeles City, where the Air Force Base used to be. Guess that's OK, maybe he can conduct brothel tours until the volcano blows again...
Wonder if he was one of our former forum members... Last edited by Mr. Joe : 07-09-2007 at 03:45 PM. |

Re: Pretty serious about town patrol
I am positive he is a member here. He was the guy asking to create a "night life" forum. I have seen his Yahoo group years ago. The group was full of guys talking about going to the Philippines.
I am certain he wrote this article: http://www.usfkforums.com/articles/1...he-land-of.htm I remember reading his posts about organizing trips to the Philippines, but it was silly how obvious he made the trips out to be "sex trips."

Re: Pretty serious about town patol
I had a weird , sinking feeling that that guy might have been one of our members here...wasn't he one of the guys as well that joined in on that whole "Juicy Girl " thread a few months ago? I remember some guy talking about the sex thing in the Phillippines in that, and when I read the S & S article, it set off a few bells!

Re: Pretty serious about town patol
Yeah....this was me...for a while they been after me, and the only thing they had on me was going to thge Philippines for 2 days without taking leave. I have a club in the Philippines that they were trying to hook ed me up for, but they couldnt connect the club with me! The whole internet thing is false, and ive have appealed my case, which its currently in Washington DC. I'll be going to Andrews AFb here real soon, to discuss the issue here at Kunsan. This whole case is connected to corrupt town patrol members, in which i arrested back in Oct of last year. Comes to find out, the whole gang was involved, just like what Lt Davis was doing, but the leadership at the Wolfpack didnt want the problem leaked out. Well I leaked it out over a yahoo forum, in which i was threaten to take it off the forum, or else, ill have real problems i would be dealing with. I decided to not display it, but here in the next 2 weeks, ill share with you folks the real big disclosure of this case, and it has to do with a real high rankning individual at 7th AF. Stars and Strips will be printing the story up, i just have to wait after a certain date.
As for my case...I went AWOL in May 2006 and went to the Philippines without taking leave for 2 days..memorial day weekend. This is where most of my charges were from...Failure to do leave papers, failure to do FPP, false statements on AF 1168, and AWOL...all this for 2 days. Then they tacked on this internet stuff, in which, all i did was save a newbies guide to the Philippines, on my yahoo 360. this was done back in 2004, and i had no idea someone else can check it out. Ive saved it on there, because at the time i did not have a computer, so i cut and pasted the info into a blog on my yahoo 360. I never intended for someone else to look at it. In the court, Capt Rowe/prosecutor stated i wrote the guide for others to commit an offense of prostitution...i never wrote nothing like that...and the 8 page guide was about the philippines. There was a paragraph that had, information about the bars and barfining women, and this is what they got me on. Just for USFK forums, and i havent stated this anywhere else...This whole case was bullshit, and im about to drop some serious dimes on the leadership here at the wolfpack. You are going to hear of reports of commanders accepting bribes from Kunsan civic leaders, and town partol engaging in blackmail, and toher illegal activity...ranging from sexual assualts, to owning houses in the off limits area! Stay tune..because although the Kunsan section might be dead...its about to be lit back up here in the next few weeks! Also just so you folks know...one of the folks i arrested back in Oct...was the individual currently awaiting trial for the Apr taxi cab beating. I cant discuss what i arrested him for, but lets just say he was with the corrupt town patrol crew!!! |

Re: Pretty serious about town patol
Also i failed to mention the other stuff i was convicted of...the 13 days of un-authorized leave...was for a time span of 17 years...i used weekend in conjuction with leave, somehow, they found out, by looking at immigration logs on me.
For the TP partol...i mention in a yahoo fourm that TP does sweeps after curfew thats it, no location was given out, or times....just a statement of after curfews. The moral of my case is be careful what you post on the internet....the military does not recognize the 1st admentment!!! If they can trace it back to you...your done for!!! Spent most of my military career here in Korea...and i threw it all away of a simple article about the Philippines!! You know they never mentioned anything about the trips in my case...or the major website i moderate for (In which i no longer have ties to this website, since they banned me, due to this case), but as long as folks know the real truth of the story...thats all that matter! some one you probably wondering why, im not in jail...i took a plea trial agreement...in which i should have fought this case, but i knew i would lose. I pled guilty on all charges...but like ive already stated...im only guilty on the May 06 weekend hop!!!.. |
