I am an avid diver and am doing research on the diving opportunities that may (or may not) exist in Korea. The info I get will have a very strong bearing on my volunteer status for my next PCS.
Can you please tell me if there is any decent diving in the Kunsan AB area? I have heard that there might be a dive club on base, but haven't been able to locate any info for them.

Hmmm....we do have the yellow sea...now diving in the yellow sea...well if your really brave, or recovering a down f-16...then yes, i guess it would be a real adventure. The area around Kunsan AB, is conducting land recovery..meaning they are re-claiming the land surrounding the base....not sure how this is done, but now the yellow sea is no longer up against the base fenceline, but probably out a good.75 or a mile out form the base. So not sure if this should be the deciding factor on coming to Kunsan...but we have lot of other stuff to do....another diving we do is called MUFF diving...im actually pretty good at it...do i have my certification yet??? Hmmmm...some things aren't disclosed!
