To anyone who can help:

Hello I am stationed at kunsan, ROK and I am looking to organize an outdoor camping trip the first weekend in Nov. There will be about 10-15 of us looking to do the hope campfire and tent thing. If ANYONE knows where a good, Close place to kunsan is please let me know. Thanks. Also if you have any links to the kunsan city bus schedule that would be awesome too!!!

I knew a few locals in my years in Korea...At the Kun we went to a beach...close to Kunsan, but in a taxi...cost some $$...

I wouldnt get in the water either...

There are parks where that can be done, but needs some coordination with Korean officials. Campfires would need local permits.
Get with Korean Staff at the USO, Chaplain, rec center or community center on Base and get info on how to set it up and who to contact, and maybe even transportation. Ther are girl scouts and boy scout troops at Osan and, I think, Humphreys who have knowledge of such campouts.

I recommend groups to stay at Buddist Temples. They charge very little, and feed you breakfast, I understand. A good way to experience the mountains and the culture. Ask around. You really need a korean speaker on your team to get the full benefit of the experience.

Let me know what you find out in the way of locations and such. I'm kinda interested in camping before it gets too cold.
