Greatest Kickboxers

I heard it mentioned, I think on one of the UFC's recently about someone training with "The greatest kickboxer ever" or something to that effect, and the person that they said was 'the greatest' was Rob Kaman. Now, I don't dispute he was the best Muay Thai kickboxer, but....I think the title of "World's Greatest" should go to Benny "The Jet" Urquidez. He was the most dominate kickboxer and I think, only lost once, and that was at or near the very end of a 20 year unbeaten streak! Honorable mention should go to Joe Lewis who went undefeated for 11 years, and won just about every fight with a knockout in either the first or second round. Also, Bill "Superfoot" Wallace was another unbeaten champ. In an exibition match, Bill and Joe Lewis went at it for a few rounds, and clearly, Bill dominated the match. Some others I think should be mentioned are;

Jerry Trimble
Pete "Sugarfoot" Cunningham
Don "The Dragon" Wilson
Dale "Apollo" Cook
Keith Vitale
Maurice Smith
Ernesto Hoost
Kathy Long

Can anyone else think of some kickboxers that should be in the USFK "Hall of Fame"?

He has some awesome fight scenes with Jackie Chan WAY before Jackie Chan was popular in the US. This is one of my favorite fight scenes.

Dragon Forever - Jackie Chan VS. Benny "The Jet" Urquidez

Nai Khanom Tom

This is my vote Bryan.............. You know me, I have to drop my 2 cents.

A milestone in the history of Muay Thai was the triumph of Nai Khanom Tom over 10 Burmese Kickboxers in 1774.

Taken captive after the Thai Capital fell in 1767, Nai Khanom Tom was forced to fight before the Burmese King to prove the effectiveness of his art. After defeating ten of of the Kings best warriors in a row, he was freed and returned home a hero.

He has never been defeated in over 1000 matches. That was 35 years of proving the effectiveness of his art.

I think he was the best ever as far as Kickboxers go...............
