In Limbo
Waiting, waiting, waiting! What fun!!
I know that I have the command sponsorship approved, pending medical clearance. Should be another two weeks before I know if I passed the medical part. Here is my question: I have two medications that I think could be stumbling blocks and I wonder if anyone is at Osan with command sponsorship AND is on one or both of these meds? The two in question are Mirapex (pramipexole) and Ritalin. |

Re: In Limbo
Perhaps your husband thats been over here for quite some time can make an inquiry to the pharmacy and family practice clinic to see how the medications you're taking will affect your chance at getting approval for command sponsorship. It doesn't matter what the doc says at your losing base...it's all dependent on what the "hospital" here wants to accept.

Re: In Limbo
The medicine that you need can be ordered...
But what I would suggest is that you bring enough medicine to hold you over for atleast 3-4 months. You can explain to your current DR what you are doing and he/she should help you out. My wife had to do the same thing just different medicine and the DR gave her enough medicine for almost 9 months. When you get here you need to get an appointment to see the DR and inform him/her of the medicine so it can be ordered and get into the local system so they can have it on hand.

Re: In Limbo
Thanks for the input. Ritalin is a class II narcotic so that one can not be mail ordered or stocked up on; there are no refills for Ritalin, it's a new script every time.
Ah well, back to the waiting, waiting, waiting . . . LOL! |
