Haebangcheon Fall Music Festival Sat. Oct. 27 3-11pm!!
I would like to cordially invite everyone out to the Haebangcheon Fall Music Festival this coming Sat. the 27th.
There will be 4 venues with live music happening. The music is all free. You just pay for food, drink T-Shirts, etc. It's going to be a real blast! I'll be the host (MC) at the Phillies Bar I'll be there most of the day from 3pm on~ or not far from there. I'm doing a 50. min. set there at 8pm (Yvon & Gifford- I'm on guitar & vocals and Gifford is playing the electric violin. If you like the Waterboys, you might like us!) In addition, my band The International Goat Breeders are scheduled to play at 10pm across the street at Ssen Bar. Hoping to see you all out for a great time! Coming up soon! Thanks for the invite! Someone showed me a poster- Folks, this is a hard left turn up the hill outside Yongsan gate 3, three blocks or so past the kimchee jars, if I'm right? A good starter for Halloween! They have good sandwiches at Phillies, too! This is near the VFW Canteen, right in the heart of schoolteacher town.

Sounds cool. Been in Yongsan about 15 days now; if I'm feeling brave I might try and find my way over there. Which gate is it? I'm familiar with gate 10 and gate 3...

I meant to say gate 3, about two or three blocks up past the kimchi pots. Coming out gate 3, turn LEFT immediately, and walk up the hill. Stay left and you can't miss Phillies. It is written in English.

I found it! Hung out at Philly's and Orange Tree for a few sets, but got called away to Itaewon to help a couple of my fellow Yongsan new-arrivals get home safe and into gate 10 in a timely manner. Managed to find DeeLeeBob's as well
 . I'll have to stop in sometime when they're open. |
