I recommend Lotte World and Everland (both Busch Gardens style amusement parks) and also the Korean Folk Village. There are lots of ruins and similar type parks (old Korean Fortresses and palaces and stuff) but if your child is young they may not have the interest in that type of stuff. There is also skiing in the winter (or sled riding at the resorts if they are too young to ski). My family also went to a Buddist Temple for an overnight stay, but asside from walking through the woods, my son (7 years old) was completely bored.
Hope this helped, -Ray |

Welcome two Roberts!
I'm in Seoul, AF Ret. and Army civilian employee. If you want a tailor in Osan, and didn't get a bite yet, scroll up to "FORUMS" (in the blue area,) and go to "OSAN " and ask again.
Y'all jump in anywhere and if your subject isn't covered, go to "THE LOUNGE" and ask or put in your two cents. We have answers for everything, and some of them even make sense! Scroll through the GALLERY for some of my photos of Seoul. (Watch for dates of posts in upper left, or you might respond to too old questions.) Spend some time just reading to get familiar if you have time. What and where is a SAIC, Chief? Last edited by Mr. Joe : 07-13-2006 at 07:15 PM. |

Hello, I am not so new, I have been at Osan since February. With the weather warming up I am interested in the Outdoorsy stuff here. I am from the Great Northwest and love camping. hiking and beaches. If anybody has the inside scoop on some exciting places to do things other than shopping and drinking, please let me know!

Hi! Sunja likes to travel around-maybe you can PM her. Also look on the right side of the forums at the little ads. One says Anglers Town lure/fly fishing-go read that and there are some ideas. The Service Club-MWR and the USO has tours to Inchon. In Seoul we have a ski club. Folks climb Mt. Gwanak every day near Seoul. Ride the subway to Seoul dressed for mountainclimbing. Get off where everyone else dressed that way gets off. Climb the mountain. That's about the best way to meet the right people! It is right at Seoul National University! In the Fall, the bigger mountains beckon. Longer trips.
