Hiya
Hi to everyone
I was stationed at Youngsan 84-87 Havent been back since However my daughter (half Korean) and her mom go every summer I am thinking of starting myself to visit every other year I know things have changed alot based on how fast they were changing while I was there I would be grateful to anyone that would email me links to any or all othe forums or groups on Korea Thanks Dwayne |

Wow...84-87? 84 was when I first came to Korea...you won't believe how much things have changed! First thing you'll notice is this place is covered with high rise apartments now. And the number of cars rolling in the streets have multiplied by a factor of...a zillion!  |

I saw them start an explosive growth when they got picked for the Olympics back then They never did slow down once they started So do you still live there? If so has it been non stop since you got there? Thanks Dwayne |

I think my combined total in Korea since 84 is almost 17 years. Yes, I am currently here.
You're right about the explosive growth right before the Olympics. There was another one that took place right before the World Cup as well. It seems like Seoul and many areas of Korea are being swamped with 20-25-story apartments; wiping out those small houses and old 5-story apartments every day along the way. Every where you turn there's an apartment complex being built. Where ever there are more apartments... more cars and more people!  |
