Osan sucks..nothing but drunks and crazys and i miss my wife. But Korea is awesome, once i finally broke free and got away from the bar district i realized that this country has a lot to offer. Some of the trips Ive been on have just been outstanding.

Re: Relatively new to Osan, deffiently new to these forums

Hmm well ok, i went to Beijing for a week through the family suport center (airman readiness center whatever you want to call them now) that trip was a blast, kinda pricey (1k) but deffiently worth it. I'm going to down to Che'ju Island again for laborday. for 400 dollars, it pays for airline tickets for me and the wifey, a honeymoon suite for three days, right on the beach, hot tub in room, lots of fun. Ive been on some more but my fingers are tired of typing so i will add more later

Re: Relatively new to Osan, deffiently new to these forums

I heard that ITT was offering a package but the prices were much higher, weve got a Korean speaking employee here at my office, and she called the hotel directly to book the package and it ended up saving us all about 50%, I went and talked to ITT about it (because they are only allowed to make 10% profit off of troops) the manager refused to answer once i brought the topic up.

You done good, as they say. Pass it on- We get taken for a ride often by unscrupulous folks, some U.S. and some other. I think the USO could do a better job on prices, also.
Things are more expensive than the old days, but it doesn't need to be ridiculous!
You will enjoy the Island! But don't drink the water unless it is in a bottle!

Do you mind posting the name of the hotel and their phone number? That sounds like a great deal. Our anniversary is coming up in September and that might be a good little get away.
