I suspect Tai is a (the?) computer nut. I'm just a plain nut, but used to be a computer maintenance officer (Read -Manager) in the Air Force.

I can use advice, as I plan on building a new "from scratch" computer. I have an old HP AMD about 850Meg and 256M Ram upgraded from Win ME to XP. It can't go far without locking up. Cruising the YS Electronic market, I see AMD2.8 Gig around 72,000 Won / 1Gig Ram 93,500 Won /5.2 sound Card (varies)
That may work for me, as I won't be doing games on this machine. My R?W CD Rom is good enough, and I may get a new mini case & PS. Wondering if this sounds like a reasonable package, and should I wait for the new Windows Vista?
(You can answer in another area, like Lounge, I guess), (unless we have already created a Computer Lounge.)

i'm guessing that was a AMD sempron (or sempron64) 2800+? if so thats not a great price on that. any of that really... most motherboards come wiht a 5.1 sound built on board so buying one is kinda usefuless
