Coop, If you are getting desperate for a sponsor, have your supervisor contact someone over there. Although it is no excuse for not welcoming somebody, things are getting busy there. My boss had to contact a friend and ask what the deal was and then all of the sudden I had a sponsor. It worked a lot faster than the "official" channels.
