Hello
Hi. I don't live in Seoul - can anyone advise where a guy could buy some non-midget sized clothes - like 38 waist??? Korean size 105 just doesn't cut it. I visit Seoul on weekends sometimes, so if you know of a place, be specific about the directions - I don't much of my way around there. Also, I heard there's a restaurant near the American base (perhaps an Army-run restaurant?) that civilians can use that serves REAL food like hamburgers and fish and chips. Where is it???? .
I included a few pics of Jewelry - my favorite Korean girl group. |

Welcome and appreciate the pics.
Anyway, for clothes, I would recommend taking a ride on line 1 down to Songtan and checking out the shopping area there just outside the main gate of Osan Air Force Base (about a 10 minute walk from Songtan station). The custom tailors there all do good work and are reasonable. I feel Mr Bo's is the best, but they're all good. As far as a restaurant goes, try The Smokey Saloon in Itaewon. See my review of it here. Last edited by CEC32 : 05-23-2006 at 12:09 PM. |

Try Itaewon - on the #6 Subway line...it is also a fairly short taxi ride from either Seoul or Yongsan train stations. The are several shops along the main street which advertise "big and tall" sizes in both English and Korean. The shopkeepers speak passable English and the prices are reasonable. I am able to buy clothes larger than you are looking for in quite a few places in Itaewon. There is also a wide selection of decent places to eat there. Three Alley Pub, Outback, McDonalds, Burger King, and many more. You should be able to find just about anything you are looking for in Itaewon. ![]() |
