On my way over!
Hello all!! Glad to be a new member of this forum.. From my brief look at some of the threads, it looks as if there is a bounty of information that I will be able to use during my stay in the ROK.
I will be arriving shortly to Osan AB and want to get hooked up with some mountain bikers in the area.. I would imagine that there are at least a few in this forum. I have been tdy multiple times, but never with my bike. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to being part of this forum.. See you in Korea!! Cheers, Erik |

Welcome! Go to YouTube and type “Osan” in the search area. I know I saw a few mountain biking video son their. I recommend contacting the guy who posted the videos! I am sure there are a few mountain bikers on here as well.

Re: On my way over!
Welcome! There is actually ALOT of mountain biking that you can do in Osan. They also have a GREAT 2 story bike shop. The prices are o.k. compared to the states and you can deal with them (as all shops). They do both road and mountain bikes and can order just about anything you want.
They have a bike called the Stinky Delux ($1900), that bike is a TRUE mountain bike. But they also have a $10,000 carbon fiber road bike, so you should beable to get what you want if you decide to upgrade your bike.

Re: On my way over!
ITT does mountain biking trips all the time. You shouldn't have a problem finding people.

Re: On my way over!
Thanks for the information..... I am bringing my Marin Rift Zone with me, so I will not need to get a bike over there.. During my previous TDY's to Osan I have seen quite a few guys/gals who looked to be pretty serious mountain bikers. I am sure I will link up with some bikers quick enough.. What is the name of this 2 story bike shop? Is it "Mr Paks Bike shop" or something.. I have seen references to this close to the Brown Mtn trails. Thanks again for the help.. See you in Korea!!
