Nutball is online
Greetings... I was over at Kunsan AB 87-88 in the 8th SPS as a K-9 handler. I was there a grand total of about 9 months before out-processing from the AF. I can't say they are fondest times in my life, but it was more the job than anything that did me in. The friends I had both SP and otherwise kept me from slipping further. As for the name, Nutball, this was my nickname given by my best friend David Fisher. It was to symbolize my desire to be more like a marine than AF and also because of my odd behavior as I attempted to get out. As for friends, David was my first friend there having gone through LE and MWDH school together. I'll never forget my other great friend Jeff Overly who is responsible for bringing me to this forum. We were two fellow Michiganders who befriended each other and stuck by each other until we departed company. we lost touch over the years but thanks to Classmates.com we reconnected last year. The true title of nutball belongs to him because once on the ROK was not enough, he had to go back two more times. In the end, he lucked out and married a nice Korean girl and is happily retired. There are many things I would change if I could go back and do them over again... I would still have the same buddies though! Look forward to reliving the memories...
