I am the writer of the book KBSII that was published in 2001 about the bar scene in Korea. Amazon sold all my books and I have not published anymore since. Once back though, I hope to write the end of the trilogy and have it out in 2009. I wil again use my pen name of Paul Allen Keys so to avoid prosecution for telling the truth.
Those of you who know me will see me again soon. The Rock |

Welcome mystery guest! Thanks for the info! Many of us are familiar with your work. Many things have changed in Korea over the years. Many things have NOT, such as some military folks who leave their morals, if they ever had any, behind in the USA; and the nature of the human animal, which has always been first to procreate. The Host Government, on paper, gives support to the wishes of the US Government which condemns Human Trafficking and Prostitution. Aiding Human trafficking and prostitution are court martial offenses. All US Govt employees, and contractors now are warned not to participate in the scene. A respected, ranking female Municipal Police Officer in Seoul once vowed to stop prostitution in the city. There have been arrests of Koreans who brought Filipino and Russian girls here promising them entertainer visas and jobs, which turned out to be an introduction the the "Juicy Girl" scene. Of course we all support being ideal citizens, pure in mind, body and spirit. So let's all do our part, and hope the "survival of the fittest" theory prevails, and those among us who are not strong are weeded out, removed from our ranks, and that the rest of us will prove worthy of the new "ARMY STRONG" motto! Good luck!
I have observed the show in Korea since 1959! The wheel has been re-invented here so many times since then it is unbelievable that we seem to never learn from experience. One reason is that, on a short tour, many records get destroyed after one or two years. This year, General Bell has seen fit to bring back the rules for military personnel marrying foreign nationals in Korea! (I didn't know it was gone.) Of course I was out of the country a few years. It is a very similar regulation to the one in force when I got married at Osan in 1961. We are fortunate to have people in high places who genuinely care about the troops . Thanks!
