Help Needed!!

Hello I am a Army Veteran, I was last at Camp Humphreys from April 05 to 06, I sustained a shoulder injury there and was seen at the TMC on Camp Humphreys. However, they never put the paper work of this injury into my file. I am now trying to claim my shoulder which still hampers me to this day to VA. I would like to know if anybody here knows of a ako email address to somebody that works at the TMC to see if the records are still on there computer. Your help will greatly be appreciated. If you can help please post here or at marcus.dante.ward@us.army.mil.....Thank You Very Much....

Re: Help Needed!!

I would think your records PCSed with you. If you have ETSed you will have to get the VA to pull your records out of the database. I got lucky and made a copy of my records when I retired. I do not believe the TMC keeps records of Soldiers that have left country. If it was not in your Med records they will not have a copy of it. If you are still in they should be able to verify that it was sustained while in service but you will have a hard time, if you have ETSed, and it is not noted in your ETS Physical. Sorry I can not be of more help and I could not be more positive but it can serve as a lession to others . Always have a copy of your med records and if you are leaving the service make sure to get a copy of any xrays involved in any service related injury reguardless of how trivial you think it is. Trust me on this one.

Cool Re: Help Needed!!

It gets tougher now, as our records have been computerized, and the old written record we used to take home and copy is now in a database. The government was never fond of letting us carry our records around, not only because we could lose them, or remove some parts, but because we could copy them and get evidence for a possible lawsuit. Now that is over. Sometimes I can get a Dr. to give me a copy of a blood test, and for $15 you can get a copy of your MRI from a civilian hospital. But big brother is looking out for himself, for sure. I advise all to ask for copies of important tests as you travel, and make your own record. I suspect copies can be had from the military hospital if you can convince the head office and pay for the copies. If you have something that needs to be followed up, ask. I'll bet sending your entire record to the VA as we used to do, is on the way out. Maybe it's time to call your congressperson.

Yes,Chucksnee, it looks like there are only 4 posts, and I remember you had an answer which was probably originally #3 After my original #2! I have no idea where they went.
I believe I remember you had listed phone numbers for him to call after I suggested he call the Commander of the Med. Facility.
Maybe you could post them again if you wish!

Maybe we did LOSE them!
