Exclamation Some Advice Please.....

Hi, I am a current federal employee in the US and recently applied to a position in Seoul. I have a pretty good chance of getting the job. I am single and have a young child. I want the position because I think it would be a unique opportunity for my little one, and once I take this assignment I can then travel to other overseas locations after 3 yrs. I am a military brat and would love for my little one to see the world as I did growing up. My only concern is, would Korea be a decent place for a single mom with a 10 yr old. I am a bit worried about safety and was wondering about social activities for myself and child. Any advice would be great as if I am offered the position they will want an answer asap. Thanks so very much....

Re: Some Advice Please.....

Saftey really is not a concern over here, they let there 7 year old children ride the bus all around Seoul by themselves....

Plenty of stuff to do, when you say government job do you mean on post?

Re: Some Advice Please.....

I've looked on USjobs and everywhere for a federal job over there, Congrats on that! Not sure about the safety but these guys on this forum seem to know what they're talking about.. I'm not over there yet.

I have looked this up on the travel to korea site, seems there's plenty to see!
