</hello world>

Greetings!

I come from over the pond and live somewhere here in South Korea (vague?). I've been here less than a year... gonna be here a couple more.

I love music, it's what keeps me going. I compose classical/contemporary music at an amateur level. Come check me out if that genre's your cup of tea: www.soundclick.com/logicill (click on 'music')!

I found this site from a Google ad bar (great investment btw). I certainly like the guide you've put together. It would have definitely been a helpful tool before getting here. Anyway...

Anyang, mabuhay, and aloha!

Whatever you do, Logic, do it well! Welcome! Please come by often and add your opinions and ideas. Some of us may benefit from some "Culture"! I know I could. (A former West Virginia Hillbilly!) Spend some time checking out Korean music. It will be time well spent. I can't carry a tune in a bucket, but I listen a lot!

Dan,

I'm a male.

Just to let you know, some members cannot put great detail in their profiles, otherwise they would be forced to become less opinionated... as this site is viewable by the public, and anything "they" say or do will represent whomever "they" work for.

Just a tip, if someone is asking too many questions (I know it is all in good interest), it might be viewed as suspicious. If "someone" wanted to. "They" could report it, have this site flagged, and than blocked to a good portion of the targeted audience.

Glad to have you aboard.

Everyone should be cautious when posting information about themselves on the internet. This is especialy true for military members or people working on military installations. I will be developing a OPSEC disclaimer for new members. I want this site to be fun and enjoyable, but not a place to discuss things that can provide info to the enemy.

That being said, there should be no problem with people posting information in their profile regarding hobbies, etc. I think BIGD (like many others) like to see at least a little bit of info in your profile so they have an idea who they are talking to. Of course it is up to the member to decide what they will and won't put into their profile.

Again welcome and good to see another active member!

Mike

The profile stuff...

Well, unless this was a dating forum I see no reason to putting so much info in the profiles.

OPSEC was one thing for me...another is because I think the unknown is better off; draws a better or worse image.

I dunno...I see the world in a strange way. I think age and ethnicity always had effect on everything (no matter how much we don't want to admit it) and everyone's view.

So, guess how old I am and what race I am. :p

I'll give you a hint...I look American!

Eddiev9, you're right. Not only age and ethnicity but place of birth, interests... anything really. For instance, if you happen to be from Texas, while I'm from, let's say, Hawaii. Without giving you an opportunity to shine your true colors, by default I would think you were an impatient cowboy, while you were thinking I'm an uneducated islander. (If we were both egoists)

I think it's great and good that names go to faces (in a way), but it eludes too much from debates or meaningful conversations. I usually get a good image in my head of the person behind the keyboard by their grammar usage.

Logic ill, I like your logic.
I like that redneck & islander analogy you have down.
That's exactly what I was thinking.
