Coming to Osan in the fall
Hi all,
I am coming out to Osan this fall after I get out of Iraq. How hard is it to live off base for officers. I would rather live in Songtan so I can experience more of Korea. I can't wait to get out there, it should be an awesome year. Anyone know how to get a good deal on a flight to the PI for mid tour? |

I believe Officers can do what they want when it comes to living down town. So you should not have a problem. There is travel agent in Songtan, I believe it is called "Tour 2000" I'll check n that for you. But that is where almost everyone one from Camp Humphreys goes, they have the BEST deals so far. I have not tried it, yet, but when my family gets here I will. Wlecome to the site, check out the thread Military discussions under Osan and you will learn alot and what to expect, it's LONG (33 pages or so) but worth it.

Great, I did the dorm thing in college and Pilot Training...not my bag baby. I am thinking it would be hard to sneek the local or pinay talent into my dorm room before the nazi like curfew.

Welcome!
You should not have a problem moving off base. It will depend on how many slots there are in your unit. I lived off base for 1-year. I know know other officers that had a hard time moving off base. It is all timing and if there is a slot. I have heard it is easy to go to the PI. There are group trips to the PI and Thailand all the time. Mike
