Hey everyone! I stopped by Osan AFB yesterday and decided to eat here.

Location is cool...its right outside the BX/Mall, behind the theatre. Wow...Osan's got everything balled into one area! Parking...well, you have to park in front of the library our on the upper lot of the mall and walk to the entrance.

When I saw the entrance door from a distance...I noticed there's a giant "B" posted up there. Now what's that tell the average American? (Hints: Grade...Health Inspector...). It turned out it was a sign for what FPCON level it was!!! They need to take that off!

Anyway... the overall inside and outside is a typical, small town Chili's in Anytown, USA. The uniforms are Chili's. The menu is Chili's.

The service...I thought I was at the Outback Steakhouse in Itaewon. It was nice, though. I got non-stop refills for my strawberry lemonade when I did not even ask. Also was offered extras (sauces, sides, etc.). Actually, the entire atmosphere felt like the Outback in Itaewon (you hear music;English and Korean conversations left and right).

Food...the "Three Way", classic Chili's steak, and Chili's Baby Back Ribs... what can I say? All good! How can it go wrong? My stomach was about to explode but I continued to eat.

Overall, everything was great. The place is fairly new so everything there is still at an experimental and "see how it goes" kind of stage, so I'd recommend everyone take advantage. You may get some free extras here and there. I was left with a great impression. I give the place a thumbs up!

Let's see how it'll change in a few years, though.

It seems with each visit I like it less.

It wasn't designed too well. I always feel crammed in. While usually cheery the wait staff just doesn't really do much for me. The food has been tolerable but just nothing like i have become accustomed to in other Chili's. I get tired of saying "well, what do you expect for Korea".

Although, a few days after opening I will say I had the best ribs and chicken I have had in awhile. Then again, it was the only ribs and chicken plate I had in awhile.


The appletini I had was borderline horrible, I may attempt it again with Grey Goose instead of the everyday vodka they use (I didn't know they even had top shelf until last week).

Maybe it is just me but I don't like having to point to the menu when I order, the wait staff should know enough by now about the menu that it isn't an issue.

I order the ribs to go a lot because I am stuck at the Turumi Lodge. They cook it in just 15 minutes. The ribs are really the only item I enjoy there.

When I was stationed at Osan I loved being off base. I would stay off-base, but the hotels off-base are twice as expensive and not too nice. Turumi is an outstanding hotel, but I just like being off-base.

Panda. too bad you are leaving. Where are you going next?

Laughlin AFB.
By choice, my wife is from there. It was my first assignment years ago.
Nice slow change of pace. Between this and being STRAT/ACC at Barksdale it is going to be nice to take a breath.

Ah, it is a Chilli's. The food taste's good. They don't have the chilli's cheese steak here though.
