Hey there everyone! I will start by introducing myself. My name is Troy and I am an F-15 crew chief...yes, they finally got me! If you dont know, us F-15 crewchiefs dont have any short tour until we make TSgt...I did and so I am Osan bound! I actually vollunteered so I would get Osan. If I didnt, well I would have been picked up anyways next cycle. My report date was October 06 but I had that moved up to July 06...I wanted to get out of Edwards ASAP!!! Anyways, I will be joining team Osan very shortly and wanted to warn you ....I mean introduce myself.

I am married going unaccompanied and I am actually looking forward to my tour. I dont have a sponser yet but would love any helpful info you could give.

Ok, the real reason for this new thread....ANY GAMERS OUT THERE????

I am looking for any BF2 gamers or any game for that matter to hook up with and maybe create/ join a clan. I plan on gaming in my free time...this will keep me out of trouble. I also wanted to know what stuff I can get in Osan to enhance my computer. I am in the works of upgrading and wanted to know if I should wait until I get their or do it before I leave. I am looking for the following:

BFG 7800 GTX (2)
Dell 24" Widescreen monitor or Gateway 21" Widescreen.
Gaming Keyboards/ Mouse
PC Saitek X52 Joystick

Should I get this stuff where I am or do they have killer deals down town Korea?

Thanks for any help you can give me. I look forward to my tour and hope to hook up with some hard core gamers! See you guys in a few months.

I have a Evga 7800gtx for sale... but only one sadly,

i used to know a gamer at Osan but he got sent to germany a few months ago. i haven't played any of the battle field games since 1942 , but i am a gamer

also there are some pretty good online computerstores that can ship to APOs.

I can get a lot of parts (not always new) at rather good parts and thensend them on


my god i sound like a use car salesman....

I am a gamer and I am arriving in Nov 06. I play the heck out of Battlefield 2. I am also a crew chief but I work the U-2 and A-10, also a Tech. I would like to join a clan.

Are there any old school gamers out there? You know...like RPG using pencil, paper, and dice? I'd love to join some type of mech based gamer group, but I'm pretty much open for anything. I'll be there in Oct, so let me know so I can bring what little stuff I have.

lol i've done it just not for a lot time, mostly because people who enjoyed that have moved to online games where you actually get to see things blow up lol

GAMER ALERT! GAMER ALERT! *woopwoop* hehehe :)

My husband and I are coming to Osan in November, and we're both gamers.. he's into both the computer oriented gamer and tabletop rpg games, while I'm more the tabletop gamer. Our plans are currently to try to at least once a month have a LAN night at our apartment, when we get it, I love to cook so we'll do dinner and/or a beggar's feast, and if we can get a group of tabletop rpg'ers there,we plan fit that in as well :) And yeah, movie nights are in the works too. :) Drop us a pm here, and I'll give you our email addy and contact info, that way we can stay in touch before and after our arrival! :)
