Designated Location Move (DLM)

Everyone,

I'm planning on going back to Korea next year and had some questions about DLM moves. Basically, is it worth the pain? I know some allowances are w/ dependent rate and others are not. Does anyone have any insight? Thanks.

Re: Designated Location Move (DLM)

I haVe just receantly completed a DLM package for my wife, which just got approved the other day. It is a royal pain in the butt, but in the long it will be worth it. Now if you do get a DLM approved and you have a follow on approved your follow-on will get canceled. I hope this helped a little. If you have any other question's please ask and I will try to get you so good answers.

Re: Designated Location Move (DLM)

Also if you do get orders to Korea, start the DLM quick, cause it does take a little while to get the approval. I started the process in May, turned the completed package in at the end of July and finally got the approval the end of Aug.
