Re: Follow-on anyone?

I suggest pushing the MPF. Keep nagging them until the find out for you. Many times it is just one lazy person in the long chain of people. I don't think budgets would affect this.

If your follow-on gets changed, am I correct in assuming that the AF would then pay for the movement of Household goods to the new duty station if you have already moved them to the origional follow-on location?

Re: Follow-on anyone?

Brad,
Did you get your follow on yet? I got mine last month (Spain) and I'm due to arrive in Korea first week of Jan. Didn't realize I would lose ALL my entitlements though. Guess I should've read the fine print when I signed the paper. They won't store my junk or ship to follow on location since it's in Spain. So I'll be shelling out some bucks for a storage unit for a year. Oh well, I guess that's the price you pay for a nice assignment.

Joe

Re: Follow-on anyone?

Brad, you must be checking the AF portal three times a day like we are!

Re: Follow-on anyone?

I can't! Since I live in Arizona instead of back at Langley where I'm supposed to be stationed, I'm unable to check my .mil email, get on the AF portal or nearly anything else!

Its been nearly impossible to outprocess so far. I'm going to have to fly back to Langley to take care of everything after I graduate college in December.

Re: Follow-on anyone?

That vMPF has been quite a hassle. This is our first PCS having to deal with it and it seems like it's more trouble than it's worth.

Good luck with the end of school! I threatened to quit two weeks before getting my BA because I was so overwhelmed (my mom talked me out of it!) and I wasn't even moving across the globe at the time, so I can't imagine what you're going through.

Tom can randomly get on AF Portal here at home but it's never a guarantee. I don't know why. How are you going to find out if and when you get a follow-on???

Kara
