Diamond Water

Does anyone else have to order water from Diamond Water? They really really drive me nuts! I have to call several times before somone will come. At first I thought it was me and that I wasn't giving them the right building name or something, so after the second time having problems (4 times us calling and then finally having Michelle from Korea Realty call, she chewed them out too lol) I told my husband to make sure to tell them to come back in two weeks and he showed the guy on the calender. So I went to the BX a couple of days a ago a saw their stand there. I knew that we weren't going to make it till Saturday so i thought "Oh we'll just buy a jug now." but it was going to cost about $11. So we were talking with the lady working there and saw that we were indeed schedualed for Saturday, so she changed the delivery day to Thursday (today) and she says they will come before 10:00 this morning. So at noon they still hadn't come yet, so Ken calls and the guy there says oh yeah we'll be there before 3:00. So by this time I am 100% out of water, and 3:00 comes and goes and I am completely fed up , I call Korea realty. The girl says ok I'll take care of it. Not even 10 minutes later someone comes! What am I doing so wrong?! I mean ok I don't speak Korean, but I know my building name, and they know my address to since they haad it written on their calender. Does anyone else have this problem or know how I can fix it?

Re: Diamond Water

In Seoul we have two companies. Maybe you can ask around and change.

Re: Diamond Water

There's another water company that will deliver out here. At least to of base housing. I can't remember what they are called though, but I'm sure if you asked around someone would know.

We had major problems with Diamond Water too. They were supposed to come out every Saturday and deliver 2 jugs of water. The first two weeks were great, but then they started delivering on Monday one week, Sunday the next, Wednesday one time, and then they just never showed up at all. My landlord called and spoke with them and was told they would be right out. A week later, they still hadn't shown up and I was buying water by the gallon from the commisary. Our landlord finally called the other company and had them start delivering to us. They come out every week on time and we've never had a problem since.

Re: Diamond Water

Not sure what your transportation situation is but, I used to take a few jugs to the base every couple of weeks and fill them up for free.

Re: Diamond Water

Have you made friends with any other base folks who have a car? I used to take a few friends who didn't have a car with me to the commisary and to fill up water jugs every couple of weeks. Usually people there are more than willing to help eachother out considering where you are at. Americans stick together in foreign places and help eachother out.
