Osan Air Base to Yongsan Driving Directions

1. Travel out Main Gate (by shopping area) and merges to the right, turn left at the fork and drive over the bridge and continue start. Follow narrow roads until it splits in to two lanes. Fallow signs for Expressway 40.

2. After 10 miles you will come up to an intersection with a tree in the middle of the road. Go strait until the next light and make a left fallowing the signs for Expressway 40.

3. Expressway 40 will be on the right side of the road. Follow the signs. Seoul.

4. Once you turn to get on to Expressway 40. Take ticket and fallow signs for 5. Continue on Expressway 40 following signs for Seoul. After (3km) you’ll reach Exit 4B for Expressway 1. Exit right at Exit 4B and follow offramp around to Expressway 1 towards Seoul.

5. Continue on Expressway 1 until you run directly into a tollgate. You are now in Seoul. Give ticket to attendant.

6. Proceed straight out tollgate and continue on Expressway 1 for 10.7 miles (17.2 km) until you reach Banpo, 392, Express Bus Terminal Exit. Exit right at the Express Bus Terminal Exit and follow off ramp around sharply to the right. This will put you on road 392.

7. Continue on 392 in right lane for .4 miles (.6 km) towards the Nat’l Cemetery until you reach the first intersection.

8. Proceed out tollgate and follow signs for Expressway 1 and Seoul. Follow onramp around and merge onto Expressway 1.

9. Continue on 392 in right lane for .4 miles (.6 km) towards the Nat’l Cemetery until you reach the first intersection.

10. Travel across intersection and continue to merge right. You’ll pass the Express Bus Station on your right. After .3 miles (.5 km) your lane will merge to the right and continue up a hill leading to another intersection (top right and bottom right pictures). Turn right at this traffic light following signs to Panpogyo (Br) and Banpogyo (Br)---same bridge---different spelling.

11. Immediately merge left to the center lanes after turning right at previous intersection. This will lead you up and over a small bridge.

12. Continue straight in center lanes. This will lead you to the lower level of the Banpogyo Bridge. Once on bridge, merge to right lane and continue straight across.

13. Upon reaching other side of bridge continue in right lane. After .4 miles (.6 km) the road will merge right. Continue up the hill and merge right again towards Itaewon Station (bottom right picture). This will lead you to another intersection.

14. Proceed out intersection and follow road around to the left towards Samgakji Stn (Itaewon will be on your right). This will lead you down the main road heading to Yongson. Continue a short distance to the second traffic light--The Dragon Hill side of base will be on your left and the BX side of base will be on your right.
