I am always amazed at the stupidity of people! How do they think they can get away with this?

An airman was sentenced Monday to one year in jail and given a bad-conduct discharge for using three other airmen$)C!/s Social Security numbers to take out more than $14,600 in loans last year.

Airman Basic Christopher R. Neal, 23, pleaded guilty to taking the Social Security numbers from papers in the 51st Communications Squadron office, where he worked as a maintenance technician. He filled out online applications and received three loans from Pioneer Military Lending between March and July 2006.

Neal, who was court-martialed late last year for being absent without leave, repeatedly told judge Lt. Col. John Hartsell on Monday that he was not thinking clearly when he got the loans.

Wow, at first I was thinking, there must be a juicy girl in this guys background who has seriously screwed with his mind. After reading the article, I guess there was but this poor slob had problems that go back awhile, apparently. Two article 15's, AWOL court marshal, what ever. How was he even still allowed to be in the air force and serving at Osan AB? Isn't allowing someone with this level of past problems to serve at a base where some incidents cause much tension on the international stage, isn't this just asking for trouble? Why was he allowed to ghost or live off base? What the hell is going on in todays air force, are they that hard up? Maybe this will tighten up office paper work and the access to other peoples personal info by people besides the shirt and the commander unless a need to know exists.

I agree with Turk. They should have gotten rid of the guy the first time. My other question is if his fiance is a juicie, how many other guys does she have doing the same thing for her?
