Re: Sat & Sun Air Show

Let me say it different.....

I call BS on that you have to wear a uniform to the airshow.

Not BS on an e-mail. I kinda figured that.....

I don't know why someone would make that rule, just shows how some of the upper people in the military think?

Instead of enjoying a day with your family in clothes that are comfortable, you'll wear your uniform to the airshow.....

What kinda sence does that make.......

BLAH.....nevermind.....

Cool Re: Sat & Sun Air Show

I think AF Blue uniforms are nice for air shows, mine just doesn't fit anymore!
I have never liked fatigues! I'll be looking for AWANA Shirts-what color are they?

Ok- here is the drill- Mr. Joe will arrive at Osan SATURDAY around noon, and will be at Captain Dees' for lunch at 1300! He will be wearing a black stetson cowboy hat. If it rains, it will be a black retiree's appreciation day cap. He will try to be out front for the F-16 demo AT 1230. SEE YOU THERE! I'll stop by Chucksees Chopper. I have a few coins to give out!

Re: Sat & Sun Air Show

For those of you who go today, let me know if they are not allowing backpacks. The article said they weren't going to be allowed on base. I assume they meant at the air show and not on base. However they printed the same no backpack rule in the article for Liberty Fest but lots of people had backpacks.

Re: Sat & Sun Air Show

The air show was definitely worth going to - plus I got to meet Chuck!

Nearly, my husband carried his backpack on base to the gym and then back home again and no one stopped him. He did NOT go into the air show with it, however. I went in with my two young girls and a stroller with my purse and food and water and a diaper bag and wasn't given any problems.

We're going back tomorrow. The aerial demonstrations were great, especially the CSAR one that we only saw from downtown as we were walking home.

Re: Sat & Sun Air Show

Yep, got to meet Kara and her 2 beautiful young girls, very nice and a pleasure to meet.

Also, meet Dee and her husband and son again, always a pleasure.

Mr. Joe....Where were you? I heard you meet Dee at the PX? Did you ever make it to the show?

The show was great, always worth watching.

Their were ALOT of pissed people that were not allowed to bring in there back packs.

Cool Re: Sat & Sun Air Show

I was there, met Dee and family at lunch! Went to the flight line once at noon and again after 2. Walked about 2 miles! Found every helicopter- except yours! Maybe you were flying that pretend rescue at about1430?
I was tired of walking by 1530 and got back on the YS bus at 1600.
I'll see you when you come up.

Re: Sat & Sun Air Show

The air show was so cool! My girlies and I had a lot of fun, they really liked climbing all over and in the planes and helicopters. They neatest thing was the search and rescue demo, we were exactly in front of all the action, and the girls loved seeing the explosions:) I iwsh I would have been able to go both days, really really fun.

Re: Sat & Sun Air Show

Short, were you there today? Connor and I were standing right by the rescue demo as well! We were probably shoulder to shoulder. Actually not, unless you were a Korean lady poking me with your umbrella...

Re: Sat & Sun Air Show

Well, I wish more would have shown up to meet me...Kara and her son showed up today, again loved meeting her and her son.

The show was GREAT, I'll be posting pictures of the show later. WAY to tired to do much of anything right now.

Kara
I was standing between the a-10 and....a helicopter I think. I had on a white shirt, short hair, 7 months pregnant. My oldest girl had on a brown polo shirt, waist length pig tails, my youngest girl had on a baby doll top, blue with white polka dots.

I thought that I might have seen Chuck, but you were talking to a group of guys and I didn't have my contacts/glasses to read any name tags, and I didn't want to get walk up and look because then I would just look stupid! I try to avoid looking stupid whenever possible
