Essentials to Bring..???
My cousin leaves for Osan in a couple weeks and the family is all wondering if there's anything in particular we should get him before he goes. We don't want to inundate him with a bunch of useless things he'll have to lug with him all the way to Korea... so I thought I'd ask here if there's any things you'd recommend he brings with him from the States...
Also, will he need voltage converters? Thanks all! Last edited by Ululani : 11-22-2007 at 08:22 AM. |

Re: Essentials to Bring...
If he's living in the dorms, he won't need any converters.
I'd say the best thing to get him would probably be commissary gift certificates or something like that. Takes up only a small amount of space, and he'd be able to use it for anything he needs. I know you can get them on-line but I'm not sure of the web site. And he'd probably appreciate mail as much as any gift you'd give him before-hand. It takes things about a week to get here from the States, so if he has a box already, start writing now so he has something to pick up when he arrives. Hope that helps! Kara |

Re: Essentials to Bring...
Another possible suggestion might be a gift card from AAFES. You can purchase these, I believe, from the AAFES website (www.aafes.com), and have them sent to your cousin, and he can use it at the Osan BX to purchase whatever necessities he might have.
