Re: Osan lock down???

I am so confused about what if safe to say here. Is it safe? An email went out within the base in a certain capital city mentioning that the nationality of the "criminal" was in question.

Re: Osan lock down???

This is extremely gay... The north Koreans aren't that far away and yet we aren't lock down like this everyday. But one freaking crazy guy out there with some weapons and they lock down Osan AB..... I'm hoping they put us on lock down because of a specific threat this guy made and not just to be safe.

Cool Re: Osan lock down???

Do you think Osan just decided on its own that their threat was greater than Humphreys or Yongsan? Or could it be that they had good reason? Don't you think that our intelligence network shares information with the Korean intelligence network and the Korean National Police, and makes such decisions carefully after considering all sources?
Thanks to those who acted swiftly to protect us wherever the threat may have been the greatest. Sorry some of you were inconvenienced. Think a little about what might have happened, but didn't!
We live in a world threatened with danger from all sides. Let's be thankful we are protected in Korea by two of the finest military forces anywhere.

Re: Osan lock down???

OSAN should be locked down forever. All those clubs downtown are bloodsucking leeches. Correct me if I'm wrong...

What you do while you are in Korea is your choice. If you choose to waste away in the clubs that is your fault. Me, I choose to travel on the weekends, see the sites, learn about Korea's history and meet the people. If you don't like your Airmen or Soldiers frequenting the bars then take them under your wing and show them the better sides of Korea.

I don't think that is what Biff is trying to say. I know that clubs downtown OVER-INFLATE the price of beer and other drinks.

Last Friday night, I went to our ville for a BN hail and fairwell. I asked for a coors light and while talking she said the price (not listening to her)....before she brought it I asked the guy did she say 7000 won? He said yes 7000 won.

Now, it costs me $5.00 for a 6 pack on post for coors light.

Another question, when was the last time you seen a Coors truck, Miller Light truck or a Budwiser truck pull up to a ville bar? Where does the beer come from?

If you'll notice, anything that is made in Korea that try's to be American ALWAYS has Korean writting on it. Have you looked at a Miller, Bud or Coors light bottle latley? No Korean language...

WONDER WHERE THEY GOT THE BEER FROM......
