Pets in Osan
Just wondering if there are any pet threads on this site. My wife and I are bringing our boston terrier scout. She's really to small and chewy; even as an appetizer; let alone soup. so I guess she'll be ok. Is there a kennel on base, vet? Do you know anyone else who has brought a pet? We had to book her a flight on United, and get pet friendly hotels in Songtan and INcheon. They've been pretty pet friendly so far.
thanks again ck |

Pets/Osan Vet/Adopt-a-Dog
There is a boarding kennel next to the security forces working dog area at Osan (First right after entering main gate). There is a base Vet in between the hospital and the Turumi lodge. The Vet even have dogs up for adoption. There is a great program where, airmen who miss their pets back in the states and who can't have pets in the dorms, take turns walking the adoptive dogs.
The soup thing: Dog meat (Kagogi). Only one kind of breed is used (legally) and it's a white colored Korean breed. I don't have any answers about pet friendly hotels... sorry. Cheers, Chuck |
