Visiting Osan
Hi,
I am planning to visit on my husband in about 5 months. Is there anything I should know? (I plan way ahead if I can) How early should I buy the ticket? I have my passport. Do I need anything else? Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. |

Re: Visiting Osan
Make sure he gets you a ration card or you will not be able to use the commissary or exchange.

Re: Visiting Osan
As long as you aren't staying longer than 3 months, a passport is enough. Are you staying with him in his dorm room? IF so, he will need to get permission for that. And yes-- make sure he gets you a temp. ration card.
Don't buy your ticket too early. I got my ticket from bt-store.com and it was WAY cheaper. |

Re: Visiting Osan
If you're from the US you can only stay 30 days with a passport only and not get a Visa. For you to get your temp ID and ration cards you husband will need to turn in some paperwork before you get here. It took 8 days for the paperwork for my mom's card to get signed by the base commander. That is if the AF handles it the same way the Army does. If you have a flexible schedule you can fly Space A for free.
