Also, you don't make the rules of what staying on topic is defined as.

I don't think the congresswomen or Cindy should have been arrested. They should have been asked to leave, but not arrested. The man that had an anti-Clinton shirt at the impeachment hearing was also asked to leave, so this is not a partisan issue. We are talking about freedom of speech, so talking about protestors who feel they have the frredom of speech to protest in front of abortion clinics or in parks has everything to do with this topic.
No, I don't make the rules; It's not my forum. Nor did I try to make any rules. I asked you to stay on the topic of passive free speech, in our case, T-Shirts. Billboards, books, newspapers and similar forms of speech would be just fine too. However, you took it a step further, intrusive forms of speech. Blocking traffic is not the same as a wearing a T-Shirt. Making a pipe-bomb is not the same as buying ad-space on a billboard. I thought including intrusive forms of free speech was confusing the nature of what Sheehan did. So of course I'm going to ask you to stay on topic.

As for my off topic portion about Mrs Young, thank you. Since you think that she was asked to leave, not arrested, is a non issue and off topic, I won't mention it again.

The people on the left like Cindy always use the "I am a victim" approach to getting headlines.
People on the left are not the only ones who play the victim card: War on Christmas, Liberal Media, Men's Rights groups, are some good examples too.

How many people actually think Cindy did not plan all of this? She acts like, "Well, I just grabbed the shirt that was on the top of my clean laundry."
Of course she planned it. It was a win-win situation for her. If she got arrested, it would make the news. If she sat in the audience and they took pictures with her wearing the shirt, it would make news. Planning doesn't make it illegal, nor even unethical. The book deal and senate race may means for her to end the war, rather than a goal unto itself. That's why I won't join in the chant to "Burn Sheehan the She-Devil." :)

Cindy broke an established rule of not making any political statements in the congress. Cindy is like many people that think they don't have to follow rules because the constitution states they have the freedom of speech.
You need to read the article I linked earlier. Cindy didn't break the law; she didn't even break any rules. She broke tradition and was arrested for it. It's a matter of free speech regardless of who she is.

Re: Cindy Sheehan arrested at State of the Union Speech

man, does this broad have a screw loose or what. It was just a couple months back where she wrote a long sob letter to the world saying she was disappointed with the left and the right and so she was 'forever quitting' the peace activist movement and going to go about repairing her family life, and live back out of the public eye.. Now she is talking about running for congress and protesting more. Before, I tended to think she was just naive and more or less being used by far left forces, although she was always annoying. Now i think someone in her family needs to seriously step back, think about what she is doing and get her into a mental health care facility. She has lost it.
