Of course it was going to take awhile for this to be reported...he's a public official and there's no way they release that information immediately. So he needed that time to sober up? Come on, there's plenty to criticize here without having to make s*** up.

As for the canned hunt, I agree. Those are pretty weak. On the other hand, maybe Cheney's more of a sportsman than you think. After all, he gave up on the birds and moved on to much more wily human prey.

Actually Mike, I don't assume they were drunk. I just think that should have been interviewed right away, because now we have no idea whether alcohol was a factor. Cheney has two DUI convictions; he's been irresponsible with alcohol before and it is something that the sheriff's department should have checked for immediately. It's not that the guy just took some spray to the face, he was in the intensive care unit. It was a serious accident and I don't think it was properly investigated.

Sorry to say that is bogus. You are simply looking for any reason to slam Cheney. The "Cheney took 5 deferments during the Vietnam War." Has been on the Democratic talking papers all day. Can't people come up with their own thoughts?

Fact: Cheney accidentally shot a man. Not a fact: he was drunk. You are simply repeating what Democrats want you to repeat so it becomes a fact. The average American will start getting wind that Cheney was drunk because people like you spread it on the internet.

Why do you keep bringing up alcohol? You have no evidence to support alcohol was a factor, but you keep brining it up. The bottom line is you don't trust the administration, so you start making up stuff.

Dick Chenney now has to live with the fact that he shot a friend who now has had a heart attack. If the man dies how do you think Cheney will feel? I am sure you and other Democrats could care less because this is yet another chance to play dirty politics.

It is great that people live in a "I hate the Bush administration" world. It is sad that people have to make up stories to get Cheney out off office because they can't beat him in elections. What is sad is how Democrats are trying to impeach Bush and Cheney because they can't beat either them through elections. The party of Dean should be called to undemocrat party as they don't care that the people actually voted in President Bush and Cheney.

All I can say is, "Get over it! Kerry Lost and Bush got more of the popular vote than Bill Clinton, even two years after the Iraq war."

Dou will be back! We are open to opinions from the loyal opposition.

But I have to say there is not a darn thing wrong with what he calls a "canned hunt"! Ignorant gun haters have put out so much trash about shooting and guns that the availability of natural hunting areas is somewhat depleted or "posted' against hunting. Hunting ranches or private pay areas are a good place for city folk, or those who do not know someone who owns natural hunting land. They provide shooting and a sure opportunity for some fun and some meat on the table as a bonus. Usually a guide and dogs are available for the unfortunate hunter that doesn't have his own dog. I am fortunate to have owned quail dogs, and don't mind saying they were a lot smarter than most Democrats I have hunted with! And don't believe anyone who thinks that you can bag 400 out of 500 birds (even planted birds) in a day with one hunting party! Pure unadulterated balderdash!

The doctor said the only reason he was in Intensive Care is that that room gives him some protection from being disturbed by gawkers and the Press!

Ah, like that Gore said he invented the internet. Or that US troops would be greeted with flowers in Iraq. I couldn't possibly live with myself if people, preferably reporters, questioned the sheriff and Cheney about why they waited a day to interview witnesses to the shooting. I'm glad you also have such a low opinion of the average american that you don't think they'd know the difference between speculation and evidence.

If I was going to make something up, I would have told you that Cheney was shooting at anything while wearing a beer hat and snorting a line of coke. I said, "Cheney and others gave interviews to the investigators 18 hours after the event. That gave them plenty of time to get their stories straight and enough time to sober up, if need be." and that it "left a bad taste in my mouth." Oh, that's it. I forgot about the shots of tequila I originally posted about too.

That's right! We should all be thinking about how bad Cheney feels. Perhaps we could redirect the flowers from the victim's hostpital room to Cheney's office.

Oh and we come full circle again to "if you don't support Bush & Cheney 100%, you're an emasculate, terrorist supporting, taxing, yellow democrat that still crying over 2000 and 2004."

I am sorry you have such a low opinion of yourself.

Also, please show me where I said all of that. You can't because you made it up, much like you made up Cheney drinking.

Yep, another Gore lie.

Many troops were, but you don't read those stories in the New York Times. If you actually talked to the troops you would know that many soldiers were greeted with flowers. Some Iraqis even offered their daughters for marriage. You see I actually have friends in Iraq over there from my unit right now and hear the truth. I don't get 100% of my news from the news paper.

Let me know if Cheney made up these pics.

And here are some more pictures Liberals hate: Iraqis voting in free elections.

That gave them plenty of time to get their stories straight and enough time to sober up, if need be. The sheriff's office said that alcohol was not a contributing factor, but they never said how they arrived at the conclusion.
So, you are not insinuating that he was drunk? What does, "plenty of time to get their stories straight and enough time to sober up." mean then?

You are saying they needed to get their stories straight and needed time to sober up. So, you are saying they are covering something up and were drunk. Are you going to play the Clinton card and ask us to define "sex"? You were insinuating that Cheney needed time to get his story straight and sober up. Are you denying this now?
