McCain's Son off to Iraq?

Senator John McCain's son, Jimmy McCain, has joined the Marines and will be going to boot camp this September. This means there is a good chance his son will be sent off to Iraq, unless he enters a career field not needed there. Note to Michael Moore; yes, congressman's children do go off to war. Where are you at coward?

I have complete respect for McCain's son for taking a decision to join the Marines. He could have taken the easy life and went off to the best universities.

Quote:
Of the 178,000 active-duty Marines in the world, some 80,000 have seen a tour in Iraq or Afghanistan, and there are 25,000 bearing the brunt of some of the worst fighting in Iraq now. About 6,000 Marines have been wounded there, and about 650 have been killed. "I'm obviously very proud of my son," says the elder McCain, "but also understandably a little nervous."

Re: McCain's Son off to Iraq?

Well, I just hope his son isn't being used as a political-puppet in an effort to win more votes. I am not too impressed with McCain, especially because he wants to bring 80,000 illegals into the US to work. I also do not believe he is physically fit to run the country. At 69 years old, his election would make him the oldest president ever.
