Fist off, outside of New York city, LA and Miami Kerry lost almost every county. So, I would say it was a landslide. Thank God for the electorial college or 4-5 cities would dictate who is President.

I'm just saying the popular vote wasn't in favor of Bush... if you recall Florida
You are talking about the 2000 election. I am talking about the 2004 election. Bush won Florida by almost 200,000 votes in 2004. Bush won 51% of the vote in 2004.

Bill Clinton won 43% in 1992 and is regarded as a "popularly elected President."

oh heh. I was thinking of the more crucial election you're right, I was thinking of the 2000 election.

Bill Clinton won for a variety of reasons, but he definitely had more popular votes than George Bush (not W). He won the popular vote AND the electoral college. So he was a 'popularly elected President.'

Fact of the matter is, Clinton made some pretty good policy decisions while in office. His problem was he didn't fess up to sleeping around with Monica Lewinsky. Infidelity doesn't care whether you're Republican or Democrat. It's a personal thing and didn't need to have millions of taxpayers dollars spent on an investigation. Should have hired 'Cheaters' to do the legwork. It would have been for free and probably more entertaining.

Anyhow, Clinton will go down in history as a good president. Funny how that works.

I didn't like President Clinton for many reasons, BUT he is one of the greatest politicians of our time.

He did more than lie to the American people. He abused his power. He then pardoned many people at the end of his term that refused to testify against him. Great politician, just morally corrupt.

I think every lame duck president pardons people at the end of their term....

McKinney report cites assault with 'closed fist'

There is another update to the story.

Quote:
The official police report on Rep. Cynthia McKinney's clash with a Capitol Hill police officer three weeks ago says the DeKalb County congresswoman struck the officer "in his chest with [a] closed fist."

The "event report" — obtained Tuesday by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution — describes the altercation as an assault on a police officer.
Full story here.

Does everyone of color get to hit a cop and just yell "racism!" when they don't want to be held accountable? The case is with the Grand Jury. It will be a shame if this woman is allowed to hit a cop and get away with it because she is black. Well, hell O.J Simpson murdered two people and did it!

Does affirmative action now mean people can kill and hit whites because of what whites did in Americans 140+ years ago?

Can anyone tell I cam getting fed up with people using race to justify this kind of abuse?

Mike

Cool

Yeah.

I've been fed up also, for a long time. I am old enough to remember when "Affirmative Action "started. Bussing kids across town to a different school. A dumbass idea, but it was arguably a step in the right direction. Later it turned into promoting folks who were incapable of being leaders. I believe it is time to cut all that out now. Forty years of helping handouts is enough. There are folks of all colors that have done very well in the US now, and color is NOT a limiting factor, if you work hard. No extra credit is needed, much less earned or deserved. Make it on your own or shut up. The Orientals do. If you have EVER seen an Oriental person in a US welfare line, tell me now! I dont think you have!
