Re: Bush Exploited, Shamed 9/11
Wow...not just "lame" and not just "Orwellian".
Lame AND Orwellian. I have no response to that.

Freedom of Speech is the best way to let these people hang themselves. Let them talk and you will see how kooky they are.

Re: Bush Exploited, Shamed 9/11
The Government Accountability Office report is not credible? So, what is "credible" by your books, Mike? Congressman John Conyers originally came out with a report "What Went Wrong in Ohio." Since then, a number of studies have documented what Conyers originally reported and more. In case you aren't aware, the GOA is a branch of the federal government. Rather than dismissing all of the studies that have demonstrated a number of tactics of voter intimidation and fraud, why don't you just look at the evidence objectively? Doesn't the fact that the chief executive of the Diebold company (the company that produced the software that calculated the votes electronically) stated baldly that he would "give Ohio to Bush" say anything to you? Subsequent studies have confirmed that the Diebold software can be hacked within a few minutes. Why were the machines calculating votes for Kerry as votes for Bush? Of course, you're not really serious about any of this. That's why you can be so dismissive. It's easier to say that it's all just "conspiracy theory." And as long as the corporate media refrains from publishing it, then a lot of people will just follow along. And that's what I mean by "orwellian."

Re: Bush Exploited, Shamed 9/11
Actually, the GAO isn't a separate branch of the government, it's part of the legislative branch. More importantly, though, the GAO report doesn't make any of the conclusions that you say it does. The report does confirm that the electronic ballot system used in 2004 wasn't as good as advertised and needs to be improved. I'm all for that, especially if a company is being paid to do something it isn't doing. Because something is possible, that doesn't make it factual or even probable. So that's where all of the conspiracy theorists and hearsay come into play. Don't you think that if the GAO had found evidence of actual widespread voter fraud, that would have made it into their report?
