Foreign Policy Fopah
Remember the Clinton'Gore eight years when many, many people on the right were saying that the administration was not paying enough attention to foreign policy? I remember and, now here is the link to an article by Gorbachev, former USSR leader, that says in his view the USA squandered the opportunity to make a big difference after the 'end' of the cold war. The vast majority of this opportunity was during the Clinton/Gore watch.

Re: Foreign Policy Fopah
I like this point.
Today our American friends are suffering from an illness worse than AIDS. And I would say this is the victor's complex," Gorbachev was quoted as saying in an interview with the Netzzeitung.Turk, forget about the 8 years of Clinton. The Democrats are to blame for the 6 years of President Bush as well. Gore and Kerry, the Democrats last two Presidential nominations, have all stated everything must go through the UN. Remember the "global test?" Democrats today are in line with terrorists. I watched a news report where they interviewed two authors on terrorism who stated that terrorists target U.S. soldiers and civilians to influence the 2008 elections. They want Democrats in control on the U.S. Senate and a lame duck President. They listen every day when Democrats call for our troops out of Iraq. Democrats and terrorists in Iraq have the same agenda. If terrorists could vote in our election you can be sure they would vote Democrat. Gorbachev is right on with the North Korea situation. China has more influence in the region than the U.S. Outside of Japan, China is growing in influence while the U.S. in loosing ground. Just look at South Korea! The U.S. is going into the next gear when it comes to pulling troops out.

Re: Foreign Policy Fopah
I watched a recent interview on Glenn Beck, I forget the gentlemans name, but he was a longtime expert on far east, esp.. Korea relations. He maintains that the current situation on the peninsula is largely the fault of Clinton/Gore foreign policy. He said that although the Clinton/Gore negotiation with the DPRK was an initial success, and that the DPRK initially lived up to its end of the agreements, it was the failure of Clinton/Gore to follow through on its promises of 'normalization' and the building of two light water reactors that the DPRK saw as the U.S. 's that caused the DPRK to question the intention of the Clinton/Gore administration to follow through on the bargain. This is why the DPRK restarted its nuclear program in violation of the agreement. I have found no evidence so far that can dispute this point of view. Also, I listened to an interview from a Stratfor.com analyst today that siad that Iran has rapidly increased its financing of the turmoil in Iraq and will continue to escalate their financing through the next two years to influence the elections in the U.S. They are doing this regardless of the outcome on the ground in Iraq, they don't care, they just want total chaos to reign and regin for the next two years. Stratfor.com has become one of the most, if not the most respected strategic analytic organizations around.
