Democrats take the house, possibly the Senate

I will try to report today's results as unbiased as I can.

The Democrats have won enough seats to win the House of Representatives and just might take the Senate. It all comes down to Virginia for the Senate. The final count will be tomorrow because of vote officials going home for the night to rest. Better to have them rested counting, than tired.

There were 52 Seats up for grab in the House, and Democrats won 33 of them (These are not official, but me counting off CNN.com). Score card:

Democrats: 33
Republicans: 19

By a large margin Republicans were defending this year. Democrats had very few seats to defend.

The Senate is up for grabs and will be decided tomorrow. Score Card:

Democrats: 12
Republicans: 1
Indy (Lieberman): 1

Virginia still to be decided.

Obviously, the Democrats did very well today.

Governor races, scorecard:

Democrat: 11
Republican: 4

I guess it is true that the President's party in the 6th year bet their butt whipped!

Arnold will stay governor!!!! AWESOME news for us Californians. I guess you can count him as a Republican...however, he is married to a Kennedy.
