Question Hilary or Obama?

Which would/will you vote for? (I'm too young to vote, I will only be 17 in November of 2008, but I'm supporting Obama all the way!)

Re: Hilary or Obama?

Obama is preferable I hope that othere young people who can vote take an interest. Sometimes voting in a national election is very depressing as you don't have a choice you feel good about just the lesser of two evils (career Politicians) My hope is Obama reguardless of if he wins or not gets the youth of the nation involved. Also sometimes you have to look more at the party platform than the person running as that is what they must run on and push for.

Re: Hilary or Obama?

If those were the only two choices then mass suicide sounds like the better option.

I'll be voting for the republican candidate...

Re: Hilary or Obama?

You do not care who runs? You just vote party line? I am waiting for a Republican canidate that I can really get behind. The last one I remember was Reagan. Obama is an interesting canidate and I will see what happens. I do think it is a shame that it comes down to the most money which means the special interests get their man. The days of hoping for a real life "Mr. Smith goes to Washington" are gone. To old to wait now. I actually think local elections are much more important to me as I feel I have a real voice. It takes an opinion at local level where as at National it takes $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. What a sad comentary on the state of federal elections.

Re: Hilary or Obama?

The mayor of my town in Colorado (35,000 people) spent almost $200,000 to get elected!

Re: Hilary or Obama?

The one with the most money wins the election. Good or bad, right or wrong, smart or dumb. Thats it.

Re: Hilary or Obama?

Hillary is way ahead and has yet to unleash the "Bill Clinton Fund Raising" machine. He is a monster at raising funds.

Re: Hilary or Obama?

I like Obama better, in terms of personality. I really don't like Hillary. I find her to be an opportunist, and she should really step aside to let someone else run. I was always in favor of Democratic centrists like Mark Warner, Evan Bayh and even Joe Biden. I don't think Obama can win, but I like his character better.

Cool Re: Hilary or Obama?

Right, Mike! The Yucks have it! There is no candidate out there yet who is worth voting for. Of the two in question, one has too much political experience (at being a *itch), and the other has insufficient experience and a family heritage that cannot be elected in these times of mideast turmoil.
Will a viable candidate emerge? Yes. Stick around.
