Merle: "Rebuild America First"
From none other than the man - Merle Haggard!!
"Our highways and bridges are falling apart/ Who's blessed and who has been cursed? There things to be done all over the world/ But let's rebuild America first..." Merle's been a voice of reason for many years now. He's long disclaimed "Okie," and has been touring with Bob Dylan. Bob updated "Workingman's Blues" on his latest album. Merle's "I Wish a Buck Was Still Silver," has the line, "Back before Nixon lied to us all on TV." He had some awesome interviews on the old "Coast to Coast" with Art Bell too.
