Talking Political/Religious or even Korean Jokes

Jokes about people or religions often offend. It is no longer acceptable in the US to "Offend anyone" in polite society. Some prudes worry about that a lot.

A black ball player was in the news today because he complained about a black referee who called him "Boy" during conversation in the game.
Now isn't that special! Don't be so darn touchy!

Don Imas (white) is back on the radio after a short absence as he had been fired for saying words that would not normally have gotten his black producer fired, because the comments were aimed at black girls; but when Imas repeated what his producer said, they were both canned! Some folks can be overly sensitive. Are we going to change our way of life to prevent offending
religions that preach killing christians who refuse to convert to their religion?
I hope not. Are we going to eliminate Christmas? What a crock! No Ten Commandments in Public? Check out our government buildings in D.C. They are ingrained on the ediface. We have got to stop erosion of our heritage and way of life. Bending to every wierdo who feels offended? If you don't like the America you see- Delta is ready when you are!

Mr. Joe,

I agree whole-heartedly, but this is a train that has already left the station. You can’t criticize without being part of the “right-wing conspiracy.” You can’t be patriotic without being insensitive. You can’t have an argument without being a racist. The name calling and labeling here in the States is beyond anything I could have imagined. It borders on insane. I can’t wait to go back overseas where I’m just the “ugly American” instead of a conservative, insensitive, racists, nazi, baby-killer.

Cool Re: Political/Religious or even Korean Jokes

Right on. Hopefully I'll still be here to greet you in November.

Looking at the US from here gives a different perspective. An Army civilian friend last year figured he had been here too long, (over 10 years), so took a promotion and moved to Dumfries Va. and worked at Belvoir. He bought a $350,000 house and a Glock. It cost him a lot more than the promotion paid, and he hated the job. He went TDY a lot, even to Afghanistan, all the time worrying if his family was safe. After nearly a year, the Unit here got enough money to advertise his old position. He put in for it, got picked, and is back! I feel certain he will retire here and stay, rather than EVER go back. He sold the gun , but the house is still a millstone around his neck.
Not everyone's experience, but since my parents passed away, I'm not certain I'll go back to stay, until or if, I decide to retire.
