Re: The time has come... who are you voting for?

Don't you just love the way any way she leaves it it's as if she's the wiser. If she says more then it's because of her intellect and if she say snothing she hsa to say nothing with an insult.

If you wanted to debate and not just have a discussion then let's debate. Feel free to bring up another aspect. You can even choose one you think I won't have a response to. My lowly 3 years of college vs your status with or as a lawyer. Maybe we'll all end up more educated in the process.

Re: The time has come... who are you voting for?

Sorry. I couldn't resist. I just thought it was so funny that she's still obviously sour about it. Still poking me in the ribs. It's like a wife almost. ^_^ At least on my side it's all just good fun. I'm not upset at all. Just dishing out what's given to me.

So what's something else people are thinking about on this election?

Here's a question for anyone to answer. What makes issues such as the environment, pro choice, anti-guns Democratic? Are those things that normally are suppose to be the same views for people? So if I am pro life, that automatically means I don't care about the environment? They call it liberal vs conservatives, but I think wanting to help the environment is a conservative issues, yet it's on the liberal side of the ticket usually. I don't understand how they seem to put so many things as only having two sides and how does one side pick which to be? I guess it has to come down to 2 parties in general or you split the vote too many times and one side will pick a view that makes the other 2 fight it out and split their vote while maintaining the majority. I just don't get how they assume republicans will generally feel one certain way on so many different issues that have nothing to do with one another.

Re: The time has come... who are you voting for?

Is that who is in your Avatar? I couldn't quite tell. 3 weeks ago a coworker made a joking comment that he hoped McCain would pick some hot chick to be the VP. Not his exact words, but a 4 letter word similar to Milk that was more rude than it needed to be. When he saw who he picked he yelled, "I got my wish!". Pretty funny, but she is an attractive woman.

Re: The time has come... who are you voting for?

Here's another aspect of the 2 parties I don't quite understand and hopefully someone can enlighten me.

I believe Democrats are typically Socialist and Republicans are usually Capitalists. I'm not exactly sure what that means other than socialists I think is more of a communist style that everyone is equal and everyone has the same insurance that is government paid.

I hear all the time that Democrats are the poor peoples party, but everything I've seen has been the opposite. I've yet to pay taxes on my federal tax return due to Bush's tax cuts. I actually look forward - until this year - to tax time because I make money by filing. I may pay $500 all year long, but get back $4000. As far as I can tell, until I make over $75k I should be pretty safe on taxes. I'll find out this year since I'm making more by working over here and won't have my 330 days to get other tax write offs, but I don't see how anyone poor can complain about taxes unless they are going to lower state taxes or the general tax on food and such. So how exactly are Democrats the poor man's party like they say?

Cool Re: The time has come... who are you voting for?

Just some guys interesting viewpoint...

I HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE.

HERE IS MY PLATFORM:

(1) 'Press 1 for English' is immediately banned. English is the official language; speak it or wait at the border until you can.

(2) We will immediately go into a two year isolationist posture to straighten out the country's attitude. NO imports, no exports.
We will use the 'Wal-Mart's policy, 'If we ain't got it, you don't need it.'

(3) When imports are allowed, there will be a 100% import tax on it.

(4) All retired military personnel will be required to man one of our many observation towers on the southern border. (six month tour) They will be under strict orders not to fire on SOUTHBOUND aliens.

(5) Social security will immediately return to its original state. If you didn't put nuttin in, you ain't gettin nuttin out. The president nor any other politician will not be able to touch it.

(6) Welfare - Checks will be handed out on Fridays at the end of the 40 hour school week and the successful completion of urinalysis and a passing grade.

(7) Professional Athletes --Steroids - The FIRST time you check positive you're banned for life.

(8) Crime - We will adopt the Turkish method, the first time you steal, you lose your right hand. There is no more life sentences. If convicted, you will be put to death by the same method you chose for your victim; gun, knife, strangulation, etc.

(9) One export will be allowed; Wheat, The world needs to eat. A bushel of wheat will be the exact price of a barrel of oil.

(10) All foreign aid using American taxpayer money will immediately cease, and the saved money will pay off the national debt and ultimately lower taxes. When disasters occur around the world, we'll ask the American people if they want to donate to a disaster fund, and each citizen can make the decision whether it's a worthy cause.

(11) The Pledge of Allegiance will be said every day at school and every day in Congress.

(12) The National Anthem will be played at all appropriate ceremonies, sporting events, outings, etc.

Sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes but a vote for me will get you better than what you have, and better than what you're gonna get. Thanks for listening, and remember to write in my name on the ballot in November.
God Bless America !!!!!!!!!!!

Bill Cosby!!!!!!!!
