South Dakota Legislation to Ban Most Abortions
It looks like South Dakota has banned most abortions. I would say this is the first step towards Roe V. Wade being challenged in the Supreme Court.
I have a feeling there is a good chance Roe V. Wade will be overturned as President Bush has replaced a liberal with a conservative. This will only happen if the South Dakota law is written well and takes the health of the mother and rape in consideration. South Dakota only has half of it in the law. Quote:
What is your opinion on abortion? Personally I am 100% against partial birth abortion (babies killed by a doctor by inserting a vacuum in their head and sucking the brain), but am still on the fence with abortion if the mother is 2 month or less pregnant.

I am 100% pro-choice. Also, I think that fathers need to have some rights in the decision too. Say if a woman wants to have an abortion, but the father wants to have the child I think she should have the baby but be under no obligation to raise/support the child later on. I know that kind of contridicts my pro-choice stance, but fathers deserve rights too. I think the government should have no part what-so-ever in a decision as personal as this. South Dakota is breaking the law going against the ruling of the SUPREAM COURT by banning abortions in the state. I am in awe of the fact that since two, by many conservatives opinions, very pro-life appointments to the supream court; picking roberts and alito will most likely try to overturn the ROE vs WADE ruling. Every woman has the right to do what they wish with their own body. No government should ever be able to take that away.
