Lieberman loses!

Joe Lieberman lost his primary today. This sucks for my favorite Democrat but is GREAT news for Republicans this November.

Joe Lieberman will run as an independent and most likely retain his senate seat. If he loses his senate seat this will show just how left-wing the Democrat party has become. This shows that there is no room in the "diverse" Democrat party for moderate voices that don't toe the party line. If you agree with a Republican President you need to leave.

The Democrats have not learned from the past that America is NOT left-wing and Liberal. Ask Mike Dukakis. Some 40% of Americans identify themselves as conservative and less than 20% of Americans identify themselves as liberal. The other 40% are right in the middle. Bill Clinton figured it out in the 90s, but Democrats today seem to think people like Nancy Pelosi from San Fransisco represents America. Democrats voted her the leader of The House and Howard Dean the DNC chair. By pushing out a moderate Democrat they have abandoned the 40% of America that is right in the middle.

Cool Re: Lieberman loses!

If we survive as a nation until the next presidential election, it will be very interesting. I predict a time of turmoil. The next President of the U.S. and the next Korean president will shape the future in unprecedented ways. I look forward to it with a certain trepidation. (From the French-it means trembling from fear-I had to look it up!) Some good things come out of France, like words and wine.

I think Lieberman is a pretty savvy guy. Probably he will remain a political figure for some time to come.
