Dinosaurs and the Bible

I'm sorry. I don't mean to offend those who believe in the Bible/God/Jesus...but this is too ridiculously amusing while reading it.

I was just surfing the web about dinosaurs and ran across this article.

Basically, the author is an obvious anti-evolutionist. He practically says all who believe in evolution are idiots who don't know anything and can't prove anything. He rambles on about how evolutionists tend to come up with a bunch of ridiculous theories they cannot prove (like "why bother if you can't prove it and embarrass yourselves?" sort of way), and then turns around and explains that if you read the bible, all the explanations are there.

He talks and talks in circles using fancy words and references from the bible, but...all he's saying, really, is "because God created them all" or "God made it happen". That's his only real argument (at least that's all I can gather). And he has the nerve to say evolution scientists don't have anything to go on with their theories.

I really don't know how this article got accepted/published...or whatever. But I think an evolution scientist can own this author's arguments at any given day.

I don't know...what do you all think? I mean I have open mind and all, but this author's argument just sucks to me. It's weak! Sounds like an Info-mercial!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the writer stated the universe (or earth; life on earth...whatever) is only about 6,000 or so years old.

But anyway, I'm not an athiest. I won't deny the possibility the almighty existed (or still exists). In my point of view, however, religion is another theory as well. I was just a little astonished on how confident this author was to easily ridicule evolution scientists' theories when the creation scientists are practically in the same situation.

Sure...God could have created evolution. Why not? He's God! He's everything...but that's not what the writer is arguing. He says there was never evolution...just creation in those thousands of years.

Politics and religion seems to bring up the most heated debates, so I kept them in the same forum.

Smile I read the article...

Not a bad article! Anyone who has decided to accept Christianity would probably go along with most of it. Theories are theories. Beliefs are based on
faith or theories. Carbon dating? Length of a day? Length of a year? Proven theories? Unproven theories?
As I said before- Pick one and run with it! Preach it, advocate it. Collect followers and collect money from followers! Buy a country home with gold bathroom fixtures and an air-conditioned doghouse for your pup! I don't care. Just don't ram it down my throat because YOU decided it was right! I'll pick my own belief, thank you.

I did think it was interesting what Mr Ham said about having found "no fossils of evolutionary 25% or 50% dinosaurs". Just Dinosaurs?

Good point, Bob! Politics and Religion always draw crowds.

Cool Two weeks has passed....

No crowd for two weeks! Am I to believe that no one wants to argue that Politics and Religion make strange bedfellows?

How about- I think you can't be a really religious person and still survive the political life in the Senate & Congress? I think those guys have a difficult time not giving in to the temptations of Washington's graft and corruption and the money just waiting to jump into their pocket if they "Sell" their vote to a colleague or lobbyist? I think if they don't become corrupted, they will be forced out by the next election, never to return?
