Pyongtaek Protestors removal begins

The Korean police have begun to remove the protestors. The protestors don't look so helpless do they?

Quote:
Hundreds of police armed with batons stormed a school in South Korea on Thursday to break up a protest against the expansion of a U.S. military base, sparking clashes with the activists.

Police moving behind shields battled with protesters wielding sticks at Pyeongtaek, about 40 miles south of Seoul. Some protesters were seen bleeding from the head, but it was not immediately clear how many injuries occurred.

South Korea's YTN cable television network said up to 3,000 police stormed the two-story school. An AP photographer said he saw at least a dozen protesters detained by police.

Initial Round Up

I just got started collecting the videos and images and trying to get some help with the articles on the ents today.

But, everybody should keep in mind this is just the 1st shot.

Last May and July's large violent protests were the pre-game warm up - to mix metaphors - and this is just the 1st day of the official war for Pyongtaek.

It could go any number of ways.

But, it will be stretched out for months to a couple of years ---- however long it takes construction crews to get enough construction done on the perimeter of the expansion area to provide an easier defense.

Even then - the protests will continue. They have been going on at Yongsan for years and years. They went on at Maehyangri and at the US Embassy.

But, until the base construction can get a more adequate defense line than the wire the Korean governing is putting up --- which is at least a good step --- here is one thing to watch for:

At somepoint - probably within a matter of a couple of weeks to a month ---

those heavy farm vehicles the protests have been marching out ----
like NK does its missiles and tanks for state parades ----

will be put into functional use.

They will rip down the fence line and tear down sections of walls that are built.

The violence will increase.

May and July 2005 was a message and practice session.

The parading of the earth movers and tractors was a message.

They will be put into practice.

And there are as many means to block construction as the imagine can invent - and these leaders like The Priest are excellent in coming up with ideas on both protest methods and how to try to manipulate Korean society.

This is basically a gurilla war and will be fought as such fairly freuqently until the base construction is pretty much accomplished - if it is accomplished.
