Lee on Saturday, February 25, 2006 N.K. rejects Seoul's proposal for World Cup cooperation: lawmaker 2006/02/24 22:21 SEOUL, Feb. 24 (Yonhap) -- North Korea is said to have turned down a South Korean offer to organize a joint cheering squad for the South Korean football team in the 2006 World Cup in Germany, a South Korean lawmaker said Friday. "The North Korean counterpart was silent on the suggestion by South Korean lawmakers to field a joint support squad in Germany," Moon Sung-soon, an executive chairman of the South Korean delegation to the North, said in a press conference after he returned from a five-day trip to North Korea.
