Lee on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 Seoul agrees to give Pyongyang US$20 million in aid via WHO 2006/03/28 16:42 SEOUL, March 28 (Yonhap) -- The South Korean government on Tuesday signed an agreement with the World Health Organization (WHO) to provide more than US$20 million worth of goods and financial support to impoverished North Korea for the next two years. According to the agreement, signed by the country's Unification Minister Lee Jong-seok and South Korean director-general of the WHO, Lee Jong-wook, the government is to provide $10.68 million in cash and goods this year to the international organization, which will then deliver the aid to the communist North.
