[USFK Forums] Warning/Wanted: Kim Jong-il and His Comrades

Updated: Wednesday, October 12, 2005

ROME STATUTE OF THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT (17 July 1998), in its Paragraph 2(i), Article 7 (Crimes against humanity), defines "Enforced disappearance of persons" means the arrest, detention or abduction of persons by, or with authorization, support or acquiescence of, a state or political organization (*) followed by a refusal to acknowledge that deprivation of freedom or to give information on the fate of whereabouts of those persons, with intention of removing them from the protection of the law
for a prolonged period of time."

(*) DPRK

WARNING: KIM JONG-IL AND HIS COMRAIDES ARE SUBJECT TO THIS SPECIFIC PROVISION.

WANTED: KIM JONG-IL IN CONNECTION WITH CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY FOR HAVING FALED TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ON THOUSANDS OF SOUTH KOREAN CITIZENS ABDUCTED SINCE THE KOREAN WAR (1950~53).

Where are they?
Are they still alive?
Aren't they hungry?
Aren't they sick?
Are they dead?
Where are their remains?

The Korean Armistice Agreement's Article 3.59a stipulates in part that "All civilians who, at the time this Agreement becomes effective, are in territory under the military control of the Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army (**) and the Commander of the Chinese People's Volunteers (***) who, on 24 June 1950, resided south of the Military Demarcation Line established in this Agreement shall, if they desire to return home, be permitted and assisted by the Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army and the Commander of the Chinese People's Volunteers to return to the area south of the Military Demarcation Line.

(**) KIM IL SUNG
(***) PENG THE-HUAI

Notwithstanding, not a single South Korean civilian was permitted to return home during the past fifty-two (52) years.

Mr. Lee,

You are up against a great propaganda machine in the North and South. The South Korean youth in universities seem to be 95% in line with North Korea. I have a feeling the university professors are 100% sympathetic the North Korean cause. Not all professors of course, but I would say over 70% them.

Until the youth in South Korea are taught the horrors of North Korea at a young age, you will never see strong support to against Kim Jong-il.

I read a blog a few days back where some South Koreans were praising Kim Jong-il for his efforts at peace.

Mike
